I wasn’t sure I would like Tupac’s poetry and if it would really touch me, but some of it did. Shakur’s work is known for advocating political, economic, social and racial equality, as well as his raw descriptions of violence, drug and alcohol abuse and conflicts with the law.

I am still a bigger fan of his music but I would recommend this book to contemporary poetry lovers. There was no funeral or any record of a tribute nor memorial.

The collection was written by Tupac Shakur between and ,which was even before he became famous for Rapping skills. I love to romanticize people. In my opinion Tupak expresses a lot of what is now missing from the genre of young black artists out there rapping and playing at music.
I appreciate all forms of music. Proving nature’s laws wrong, it learned to walk without having feet. His legacy is indomitable — remaining vibrant and alive.
Tupac Shakur was killed at the age of 25 in after attending a special event in Las Vegas where former heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson was fighting Bruce Sledon.
Most of these poems got to my heart. An abiding interest is his mental landscape and how to relate to it as well as his presence as a teenager and visual power. I’m glad I finally took the time out to read this.
